Lisa Braden is Sooner Born and Sooner Bred, she was born and raised in Norman, OK. She received her Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Oklahoma and her Master's degree in Nutrition from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She has been a Registered Dietitian for over 10 years.
She started her nutrition career at The Children's Hospital in Oklahoma City covering everything from general pediatrics to oncology to intensive care to outpatient counseling. She was one of the first Certified Specialists in Pediatric Nutrition (CSP) in the state of Oklahoma. From The Children's Hospital she transitioned to serving the kids at the JD McCarty Center for Children with Developmental Disabilities for many years. Working with patients and providing them the best medical outcomes through nutrition is her passion. She is known for thinking outside of the box and coming up with unique solutions. When Dr. Fox offered her an opportunity to further her interest and belief in Integrative medicine - she jumped on it!
Lisa works at Fusion MD part-time and trains new dietitians through teaching at the Health Sciences Center.
You will most often find her talking about food and trying to feed you something new and/or green. She truly believes that food can be medicine and loves to make people feel better with simple changes. When not at work, she is chasing after her kids and running the streets of Norman and OKC training for races.
